Glam New Products for Jan 2012

New year, New products.

I love seeing new products come out and I thought it would be good for you all to see all the lovely products out to treat yourself....

Barry M - Croc Nail Effect £3.99
Croc Nail Effects is a stunning development following the best selling crackle range. These cracks appear in a more uniform mock-croc style pattern.
Apply a base colour, after a few minutes when the nail paint is still a bit tacky apply a coat of Croc Nail Effects. Watch the amazing effect appear in a few minutes. The effect takes a bit longer to appear than the crackle but it is worth it! Can't wait to try it...and they they bring out a leopard one I'll buy in bulk.

Benefit - Watt's Up! highlighter £24.50
Turn on 'watt' ya got! Our delicate champagne sheer highlighter smoothes on a gorgeous glow. Glide on cheek & brow bones...then sculpt with its soft glow blender for the perfect gleam. With a cream-to-powder finish... it's a switch-on "wow" for all complexions. I love dewy skin so this will be one to add to my kit and my make-up bag.

M.A.C - False Lashes Extreme Black £18.00
Midnight meets its match with a Mascara that creates vixen volume by filling in sparse lashes, magnifying & by multiplying magnificently. Builds captivating curl & divine density with a velvety-fabulous finish. I have tried many mascaras. It is so hard to find a mascara that does everything that it says it does. I trust MAC so bring it on!!!

O.P.I - NICKI MINAJ - Stylish and Sassy Shades £10.50

Left to right: Pink Friday, Did it on 'Em, Fly, Metallic 4 Life, Save Me, Super Base Shatter

Found in professional salons and homes all over the world, OPI offer award-winning nail care products that no woman should be without. OPI nail polish is the choice of Hollywood's A-listers and even if you've never walked the red carpet, OPI will make you look as if you have. With a new fantastic range in some amazing colours sure to fly off the shelves. can't wait to try Pink Friday, pastels are coming for spring/summer!

Lancome - L'absolu Rouge Lipstick £19.50
An advanced replenishing and reshaping lip colour that contains Pro-Xylane and SPF 12 sunscreen.
Pamper your lips with this creamy and luscious formula. It contains Pro-Xylane, a complete and powerful replenishing molecule that creates visibly fuller and smoother lips. The SPF 12 sunscreen protects against environmental damage and UV rays and the satiny, saturated colour wraps lips in luxury so they are left absolutely replenished, feel softer and moister for hours.

Soap and Glory - Kick Ass Concealer £10.00
This concealer is a three - piece flaw camouflaging kit that includes an amazing under eye brightening concealer, an 'on the spot' as-you-need-it complexion concealer, and a weightless transparent setting powder. A must have for people with dark circles, heavy eyes and in need of getting back that sparkle.

Nars - Paramaribo Eye Duo Metallic Bronze Shades (price unknown)
This eyeshadow duo is from the spring 2012 collection which isn't released online until  January 13th. The duo contains my two favourite words which are metallic and bronze. I can't wait for it to come out and I'm definitely pre-ordering and will let you know what I think.

Chanel - Blush Horizon De Chanel (roughly £37.50) may vary when it arrives in the UK
This is a new and limited blush for springtime. It’s described as an “elegant highlighting face powder”
The new Glowing Blush Harmony is a stunning palette of soft luminous pinks, white, plum, peachy-pink and gold. I believe this will be a universally flattering pink. It has a good mixture of cool and warm tones with the alternating stripes. There are several variations of pink to suit everyone's taste. This powder I took a soft blush brush and swirled the colours together before applying. On the face this is a very soft glowing pink, not overly frosty, but a hint of shimmer is visible on the face. Each stripe appears to have a different degree of shimmer which I find lovely. On a medium-toned olive skin like mine it gives a soft medium pink glow.

My Top 10 'Must Have' Products!

This is my list of my favourite must have products that have helped me in the industry and in my everyday routine. you will love them as much as I do!

1.Nars Bronzer - Casino £24.00

This bronzer is amazing. All my clients love it and it gives such a great finish to any make-up look. It looks like a dirty brown but it's a fact that the dirtier it looks, the better the result. If a bronzer looks a good colour in the packaging there is a chance it will be too orange on the face. This product leaves the skin feeling soft, it's good for contouring the face and gives a lovely glow to the skin. A must for any wanna be bronzed goddess.

2. Simple Facial Wipes £3.00

These wipes are probably the best product for everyone. They are affordable and with great results, what more can you ask for. I have sensitive skin and find it hard to find a cleansing product that's quick, effective and leaves my skin soft. They remove even the heaviest of make-up with ease and are so moist that they leaves your skin feeling hydrated and clean.

3.L'Oreal Voluminous 4X £8.50

WOW in a tube!! It's so hard as a make-up artist to find a good mascara. I happen to be a make-up artist with long lashes. Sounds amazing but it's hard to find a good mascara that does exactly what you want it to do. I have found the best mascara and I promise you, it will not fail you either. It's a lovely rich black with a smooth application, no clumping, no crumbling and with extreme lengthening and volumising. I have recommended this to so many of my clients that I'm surprised that it's not sold out everywhere.

4.Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation 30ml £26.00

I worked for Estee Lauder many years ago and have worked with many other brands since but this product is by far the best foundation in the world. It gives a medium-full coverage, comes in a large range of shades, it's completely workable and gives such a flawless finish. From a professional prospective it photographs really well, looks amazing in every single light and lasts all day. It also has a huge plus point of having SPF 10 which is fantastic as it gives you some protection. It's also amazing at covering blemishes, broken veins and light pigmentation.

5. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 50ml £76.60

I know they say you shouldn't use a moisturiser for a long time as your skin gets used to it and then stops working. I have to admit that this product is my little guilty pleasure. I find it so hydrating and my skin seems to like it. It is at the high end, price wise. But I think that if you find a product that works for you especially a good moisturiser, keep with it. It increases hydration and moisture by up to 45% and reduces the appearance of wrinkle depth by  up to 78%. It's lightweight and leaves my skin soft and silky.

6. Barry M Lip Paint £4.49

I have enough lipsticks in my kit to supply a shop and a lot of them are Barry M. They're smooth, long lasting, nourishing, great colour pigment and a bargain. I love to use them solo or if I feel a little bit adventurous I mix them up a little to see what different shades I can make. Another huge plus point is that you don't get any lip scum. That is a huge lippy factor for all women. Everytime I wear these amazing lippies I get lots of compliments and my clients love wearing them. A few of my favourites are 146, 153 and 157. Try them you'll be hooked!!

7. Fake Bake Faux Glo 120ml £12.50

This is a tan/make-up product. It's not a tan that develops over time. You spray it on the body part that you want beautifully bronzed, blend with a mitt and wait for all the compliments to come your way. I have 6 of these in my kit and buy in bulk. My regular clients love it and always want it applied. It leaves you looking tanned, toned and beautifully glowing. I have a lot of clients that have little veins or bruises on their legs and they love the fact that it covers it so well. Now listen carefully... it's not a shimmer. It doesn't have glitter in it. It has amazingly been created to give the skin a lovely soft tan with a glow. The great thing about this product is that it doesn't rub off on your clothes. It only comes off with hot soapy water, so no problems if you get caught in the rain.

8. Schwarzkopf Professional Silhouette Super Hold Hairspray 500ml £4.95

This hairspray is a life saver. It has held so many hairstyles in my career I can't count. It's flexible, strong hold, great smell, brushes out easy, affordable, long lasting......shall I carry on. It is so good that my clients buy my can from me. Whether it's used or not they want it. It is seriously that good! buy it, try it and love it!

9. Elemis Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt 100ml £29.70

This is a must have multi usage product. I use it as a body oil moisturiser and a super indulgent hair mask. It smells absolutely amazing and  I love the fact that the smell lingers forever. It leaves your skin silky smooth, hydrated and removes any unwanted dry patches. As a hair mask it repairs, smoothes

10.M.A.C Prep+Prime Skin £18.00

This is a necessity product for any make-up artist or lover of make-up. If you find that your make-up doesn't last throughout the day this product will be the answer to your prayers. It calms and soothes the skin, blots away excess oil, and evens out skin redness. Its also has the added factor that it improves the laydown and application of foundation or powder. So foundation will glide on easily and stay in place which is perfect for foundation longevity. I always have 2 bottles in my kit at all times and use it on brides, editorial shoots and shows. My clients love the feel of it on their skin and love the results.
